Casting Machining Services

At Post Precision Castings, Inc. our in-house tooling and casting machining services are available to maximize our speed and efficiency in fulfilling our customers orders. Making use of sinker EDM and CNC vertical machining equipment, we can build new tools, modify and repair tools as needed, alter existing tools, and produce a metal or wax sample for customer inspection. Our sinker EDM capabilities allow for cutting small or oddly shaped angles, and our conventional machining expertise covers all processes and features: milling, turning, threading, drilling, profiling, and facing. We utilize electronic drawing file transfer for maximum customer convenience, accepting common file formats like SolidWorks, IGES, and DXF.

Our tooling and casting machine shop places a special emphasis on inspection, performance and quality control measurements, utilizing a newly remodeled metallurgical lab for QC inspection, first piece wax and final inspections, and accurate chemical and physical non-destructive testing services. In-house, we perform spectrographic analysis, mechanical testing, prepare analytical reports, monitor controls, and more. We also work with NADCAP approved sub-contractors when radiographic, magnetic particle inspection, and other testing is required. Our dedication to quality control and on-time performance ensure that our castings and tooling are manufactured exactly to our customer’s precise standards. We also have sub-contractor arrangements with local tool makers and machine shops for additional capacity.

Our material capabilities cover 100 alloy steel compositions including stainless, alloy steels, superalloys, copper nickel alloys, gray iron, bronze, and numerous corrosion resistant alloy steels. We provide tooling and castings in dimensions up to 30” x 16” x 19”, with up to 4-axis machines. We also provide MIG and TIG welding and assembly, passivation, heat treating, and rapid prototyping services. We will run orders in small and large lot sizes, and offer Kanban short term delivery programs. Please contact Post Precision Castings, Inc. with the details of your project for more information.
